What is CAIOPH and how does it help when a plan goes awry?

CAIOPH is the acronym for the following pointers to note when a plan goes awry, especially when it is sudden and require urgent remedy. Calm: stay calm, don't start scolding people regardless of whose fault was it that cause the problem, they are there to help you remedy the situation, rally them to tasks. Assess the situation: What are the things within your control, what are things outside your control. Inform stakeholders: Inform the stakeholders, so that they can adapt their plans or offer their help.

List your Options: List the options you have and assess their impact. Prioritize actions: Prioritize the actions that need to be done first. Get Help: Seek help from your team members and anyone with the expertise to handle the problem.
